The US Labor Department will absorb some of the work administering federal education programs, as the Trump administration seeks to drastically shrink the Department of Education.
The DOL will manage grant funding and provide technical assistance to dozens of DOE initiatives in K-12 and higher education, including historically Black colleges and universities and programs to assist students with disabilities, immigrant students, and homeless students.
