The US Labor Department has issued a voluntary notice to workplace retirement plan administrators requesting information it says it will use to populate a database of lost or missing accounts.
DOL’s Employee Benefits Security Administration built an online intake portal that went live Monday with notice following on Tuesday. Officials expect the database itself will go live on Dec. 29.
