The Center for Investigative Reporting has again sued the US Department of Labor for allegedly withholding federal contractor diversity data after a years-long public records battle.
The DOL’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs mishandled the CIR’s Freedom of Information Act request for all federal contractor EEO-1 reports, the organization alleged in a complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
The EEO-1 form, which every federal contractor with 50 or more employees must file, includes demographic information about employees. The OFCCP enforces nondiscrimation laws against federal contractors.
