The US Labor Department has sent a final rule to the White House budget office that would rescind portions of its regulations around antidiscrimination laws protecting government program participants.
The regulation is under review by OMB’s Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, with little additional information on what the measure includes.
It comes after President Donald Trump directed the government to reconsider its investigations driven by disparate impact claims in an executive order last year, changes largely undertaken at the Justice Department and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
