Labor Department Nixes Time Requirements for Apprenticeships

Employers can now choose from three different models when launching a registered apprenticeship program, the Department of Labor said in new guidance, departing from previous requirements on the length of the training programs.

The DOL’s Employment and Training administration released several guidance documents Monday, saying they are aimed at improving flexibility and reducing logistical burdens for companies who want to bring on apprentices.
