Labor Department Fines Beauty Product Company After Explosion

The US Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration cited SV Labs Prescott Corp., a Wisconsin beauty and personal care products manufacturer, after an explosion involving a nitrocellulose drum and subsequent fire involving flammable liquids.

An investigation found that the company failed to provide proper safety training, respiratory protection, and medical evaluations to new employees.
