The US Department of Labor is looking to ensure religious groups can qualify for federal grants.
In a notice to be published in the Federal Register Wednesday, the department asked for feedback from faith-based groups about how to remove barriers to workforce-related grants as part of its new Center for Faith.
The notice said the DOL aims to “better engage qualified faith organizations to help deliver services, including job training, employment support, and community outreach, without undue restrictions on such organizations’ religious liberty.”
