The U.S. Labor Department postponed its plans to bring agency staff back to in-person work by another month, citing current case trends in the spread of the Covid-19 omicron variant.
DOL employees, on-site contractors, and visitors will begin returning to office-based work and activities in phases starting Feb. 28, according to a copy of an email sent to agency staff obtained by Bloomberg Law.
“Based on various factors, including operational considerations and current COVID-19 case trends and transmission rates, the Coordination Team is adjusting the timeline for increasing the return of Federal staff, onsite contractor staff, and visitors to DOL workspaces,” ...
