Labor Department Budget Gets Big Boost in House Proposal (1)

The House Appropriations Committee proposed a massive bill April 29 that would increase funds for the Labor Department—soundly rejecting the Trump administration’s attempt to slash the agency’s funding by 10 percent for fiscal year 2020.

The proposed $13.3 billion in appropriations for the DOL is a $1.2 billion boost above the 2019 enacted level and $2.4 billion above President Donald Trump’s budget request.
