Labor Department Axes Millions From Women’s Workforce Grants

The US Department of Labor cutoff nearly all workforce development funding from its Women’s Bureau as part of the Trump administration’s crackdown on diversity, equity, and inclusion in the federal government.

All of the grant programs at the sub-agency created to address the needs of women in the labor force, except for those currently involved in litigation, were canceled Tuesday, according to one current DOL employee and one former employee.
