President Joe Biden’s pick to head the US Department of Labor will testify in the Senate next month.
Acting agency Secretary Julie Su will appear before the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee April 20, according to Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-Vt.) office. Biden formally nominated Su on Feb. 28.
Leading up to the hearing, Su has been making visits to Capitol Hill, meeting with committee chair Sanders and other HELP committee members. Su is set to meet with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) Tuesday.
