Labor Board Gets $23 Million From Federal Fund for IT Revamp (2)

The National Labor Relations Board will get a $23 million investment from a federal government fund to modernize its outdated case management system.

The funding will permit the NLRB to replace its 17-year-old system—which has been beset by delays, reduced reliability, and increased cybersecurity risks—with a “state-of-the-art, cloud-based solution,” the General Services Administration announced Thursday.

“Modernizing our system will lead to more efficient and effective service for workers, employers, and unions with cases before the NLRB,” General Counsel Jennifer Abruzzo said in a statement.
