Labor Board Democrats Face Pressure Over Joint Employer Recusals

A major coalition of business groups called on two Democratic National Labor Relations Board members to be sidelined from a future joint employer rulemaking due to their ties to the Service Employees International Union.

The Coalition for a Democratic Workplace, a consortium of 500 business groups nationwide, told the NLRB in a letter Friday that members Gwynne Wilcox and David Prouty should be recused from any case involving SEIU for the rest of their tenure, as well as from future rulemaking on joint employer arrangements under labor law.
