Labor Agency for Federal Workers Gets Acting General Counsel (1)

Charlotte Dye will serve as acting general counsel for the Federal Labor Relations Authority, the agency announced Wednesday.

President Joe Biden’s appointment of Dye, the agency’s deputy general counsel, means the FLRA’s Office of General Counsel “is back in operation after being dormant” for nearly three-and-a-half years, Ernest DuBester, the authority’s chairman, said in a separate email.

The FLRA, which oversees the government’s labor relations program for about 2.1 million civilian federal employees, hasn’t had either a Senate-confirmed or an acting general counsel since November 2017—roles that must be filled in order for the agency to prosecute unfair labor ...
