Labor Agency Asks SCOTUS to Skip Biden $15 Contractor Wage Case

A federal appeals court made the right decision in rejecting a recreation company’s challenge to President Joe Biden’s $15 minimum wage for federal contractors, attorneys for the Labor Department argued in urging the Supreme Court to deny review.

Biden’s 2021 wage order fell within his authority under the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act in setting criteria for federal contracts, US attorneys said in a brief filed Monday. The DOL subsequently issued rulemaking to implement the policy, prompting a handful of lawsuits that have yielded split decisions from federal appeals courts.
