LA Fitness Suffers Setback in Worker’s Sexual Harassment Lawsuit

A New Jersey trial court must reconsider whether to send to arbitration sexual harassment, sex discrimination, and retaliation claims brought against LA Fitness by a former worker who denies knowingly signing an arbitration agreement, a state appeals court said Wednesday.

Nikki Cordero worked for three months as a sales counselor in LA Fitness’s gym in Holmdel. She alleges that her supervisor George Walker, a trainees’ manager, sexually harassed and assaulted her at work.
