Los Angeles Glass Company to Pay $1.3M to Settle Wage Claims

A Los Angeles commercial and architectural glass manufacturer will pay $1.3 million to resolve a class action alleging it failed to properly pay overtime and provide required meal and rest breaks.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Lisa Hart Cole April 18 granted final approval to a deal that affects more than 1,000 class members and ends litigation brought against Glasswerks L.A. Inc. and its sister company Avalon Glass & Mirror Co. in October 2016. The judge’s green light comes less than two months after named plaintiff Cesar A. Fajardo sought final approval.
