Human resources services firm Kronos Inc. remains in a would-be class suit in federal court in Illinois alleging it violated the state’s strong privacy law in its provision of fingerprint timekeeping systems to employers there.
Workers Charlene Figueroa and Jermaine Burton have standing to sue Kronos for two of their claims under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act on behalf of a proposed class, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois said Monday. Their standing to assert a third BIPA claim requires further briefing, Judge Gary Feinerman said.
