Financial advisory services provider Kroll LLC reached an agreement with a pair of its own former cybersecurity executives it accused of trying to “burn the house down” by poaching employees and secrets.
The company and the two employees—both former FBI forensic digital examiners—were granted a requested 30-day stay Monday to “finalize and execute” the settlement by the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Kroll’s Aug. 9 complaint alleged that Benedetto Demonte and Devon Ackerman recruited other defectors, lied to customers, and wiped their devices before leaving the company.
