Kroger Worker Fired For Alleged Sexual Liaison Loses Bias Suit

A former e-commerce supervisor for a Kroger grocery store who was fired after being investigated for alleged inappropriate sexual conduct in a supply closet failed to show she was terminated on the basis of sex or subject to a hostile work environment, a federal court in Virginia said.

A coworker reported discovering store manager Frank Bryant partially undressed in a supply closet with Donna Dawson. Human resources investigated and several employees reported hearing rumors that the two were engaged in a romantic relationship. Dawson and Bryant denied ever engaging in sexual activity, but the store ultimately terminated them both.
