Kroger, Pick ‘n Save Sued for Stiffing Managers on Overtime Pay

Kroger Co. and subsidiary Roundy’s Supermarkets Inc., also known as Pick ‘n Save, were hit with a proposed collective action Tuesday by a former assistant manager who says the companies failed to pay him and others in his position for overtime hours worked after 40 hours per week.

Jacob Wilson filed suit against Kroger under the Fair Labor Standards Act on behalf of current and former assistant managers who were treated as exempt from overtime compensation. Although assistant managers are considered to be “managers,” they “are not responsible for true management functions,” the lawsuit says.
