Kroger, Black Shopper Settle Racial Profiling Suit Before Trial

Kroger Co. settled with a Black shopper who sued for race bias after its alleged surveillance of him at an Ohio store led to a parking lot confrontation and a report to the police, federal court records show.

William Johnson sued Kroger in October 2018 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. He said he was arrested and issued a trespass warning as a result of the racial profiling.
