King Says UAW Stepping Up Activism For Jobs, Social Justice, Right to Organize

DETROIT—The United Auto Workers will participate in a nationwide campaign to push President Obama and Congress to enact policies that create jobs, encourage manufacturing, and promote the revitalization of cities, UAW President Bob King said July 12.

King, joined at a Detroit press conference by community, religious and political leaders including Jesse Jackson Sr., founder and president of the Rainbow Push Coalition, said the UAW plans to take a greater role in such efforts.
