A Kentucky federal court rejected the U.S. government’s request to pause an order that blocked enforcement of President Joe Biden’s Covid-19 vaccine mandate for federal contractors.
The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky declined the Justice Department’s emergency stay motion, which argued that the preliminary injunction against the shot requirement would cause irreparable harm to the government, including in its ability to work with companies under terms of its choosing, as well as the public.
