Kellogg Workers at MorningStar Plant Vote Against Unionization

Workers at a Kellogg Co. plant in Ohio voted against unionization, giving the company a reprieve from the wave of labor organization across the US.

The results were confirmed by Lisa Gregory, a representative for the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco, and Grain Millers International Union, known as the BCTGM. The final vote was 141-82 against forming a union.

The BCTGM filed a petition for representation with the National Labor Relations Board on behalf of workers at the plant in July. The facility, located in Zanesville, Ohio, makes faux meat products under Kellogg’s MorningStar Farms label.
