Kalshi Inc. failed to convince a judge to halt Arizona’s criminal proceedings in state court against the prediction market provider as the widespread legal battle among states, companies, and the federal agency that governs derivatives trading continues to roil.
The federal Anti-Injunction Act limits US court remedies that might interfere with state judicial proceedings, barring the US District Court for the District of Arizona from extending preliminary injunctive relief against these pending proceedings, Judge Michael T. Liburdi said Wednesday.
