Kaiser Permanente Nurses in California Reach Pact for 19,000 (1)

Kaiser Permanente’s nurses are set to vote on a contract that would create at least 100 job opportunities and increase wages for 19,000 nurses in northern and central California, the union that represents the workers said March 19.

Kaiser Permanente reached an agreement with leaders of the California Nurses Association/National Nurses United March 16. Members are set to vote on the agreement from March 26 until mid-April.

This contract would be the union’s largest and serves as “a bellwether for the industry,” Charles Idelson, a spokesman for the CNA, told Bloomberg Law. California is also the company’s busiest hub by ...
