Justices Reject Return of Amazon Warehouse Security Check Case

Amazon.com Inc. and a staffing company won’t make it to the U.S. Supreme Court a second time in their bid to block a lawsuit brought by warehouse workers seeking pay for time spent in anti-theft security screenings.

The high court declined Oct. 7 to consider whether the Integrity Staffing Solutions Inc. workers’ mandatory screening time is legally compensable under state law. The justices ruled in 2014 that the workers weren’t entitled to pay under federal law for their time in line.
