The U.S. Supreme Court again has declined to weigh in on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals debate, the second time in less than a month.
The justices March 19 decided not to take up a long-running dispute that started when Arizona’s former governor, Jan Brewer (R), denied driver’s licenses to DACA recipients. The case primarily concerns the driver’s license issue, but the legality of DACA is a consideration in deciding whether those licenses must be granted.
There’s still a chance, however, that DACA will wind up before the Supreme Court by the end of the year.
