A federal appeals court let stand a jury verdict ordering a demolition company to pay a former employee $10,000 for failing to accommodate his hip injury.
The US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit Tuesday rejected requests from both Industrial Demolition LLC and ex-employee Eric Moore to reverse or amend the judgment or grant a new trial.
The decision stems from Moore’s 2019 injury suffered while on the job at a demolition site in Massachusetts. He subsequently clashed with a manager over his limitations, which led to his termination.
