Judge Upholds NJ Cannabis Labor Peace Requirements For Now

A federal judge declined to immediately block enforcement of a New Jersey law that requires cannabis businesses to sign labor peace agreement, but appeared skeptical that the regulation was allowed under federal law.

Judge Michael A. Shipp of the US District Court for the District of New Jersey said in an unpublished opinion Wednesday that Curaleaf Holdings Inc., a medical and recreational cannabis company, didn’t demonstrate the irreparable harm needed to justify a preliminary injunction.
