A New York-based federal judge extended a pause on the Trump administration’s efforts to wind down the Job Corps training program while litigation over the move plays out in court.
Judge Andrew L. Carter of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York found that the US Labor Department’s decision to pause Job Corps operations violated the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act because the agency failed to seek notice and comment from the public or notify Congress.
