A female lawyer suing Jones Day along with her husband for pay discrimination and other bias misunderstands the elements of an Equal Pay Act claim and dismissal of that claim shouldn’t be reconsidered, the firm told a District of Columbia federal judge.
Julia Sheketoff failed to point to a change in the law, new evidence, or a clear error in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia’s Sept. 4 ruling, Jones Day said. Those are the only grounds for reexamining a ruling in a pending suit, the firm said.
