Johns Hopkins Physics Lab Defeats Worker’s Race Bias Lawsuit

The applied physics laboratory at Johns Hopkins University is free of a Black worker’s race discrimination case because he failed to provide enough detail to back up his allegations, a federal judge said.

The worker didn’t sufficiently allege that Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory LLC treated him worse than non-Black coworkers, refused to promote him because of his race, or forced him to resign for discriminatory reasons, the US District Court for the District of Maryland said, dismissing the claims with prejudice.
