John Malone Leaves Warner Bros. Board, Becomes Chair Emeritus

John Malone, the cable-TV and media pioneer, is stepping down from his role as a member of the board of directors at Warner Bros. Discovery Inc., but he’ll continue to be involved as chair emeritus.

The parent of HBO and CNN said Malone will continue to regularly attend board meetings and provide counsel to management after the move, which is effective following the media company’s annual stockholder meeting on June 2.
