John Deere Technology Auditor Brings Age Discrimination Suit

Terence Murphy filed a lawsuit against his former employer Deere & Co., alleging violations of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and the Illinois Human Rights Act in connection with his termination during a reduction in force.

The complaint, filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Central District of Illinois, states that Murphy is 61 years old and worked for the equipment manufacturer for 26 years until his termination in July 2024 as part of a reduction in force of over 300 salaried employees.
