Juice and sandwich bar Joe & the Juice has agreed to pay $715,000 and furnish other relief to settle a federal charge of discrimination filed with the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the agency said Thursday.
The company allegedly has failed to recruit, hire, and promote females in their restaurants since 2017. After conducting investigations, the EEOC found reasonable cause to believe the nationwide chain violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the agency said.
