JBS Workers in Colorado Reach Tentative Labor Deal After Strike

Workers at JBS NV’s Colorado beef packing plant have reached a tentative agreement with the meat processor following a three-week strike.

  • The new agreement “secures JBS-leading wage increases, defends workers against increases in healthcare costs, and protects workers from having to pay for personal protective equipment that should be paid for by the company,” according to a late Sunday statement from the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 7
    • The union said it secured wage increases over the next 2 years that are about 33% higher than what JBS had offered in its offer prior to the strike
