Janus Denied Return High Court Trip in Public Union Fee Case (2)

The U.S. Supreme Court rejected a former Illinois government worker’s bid to claw back the money he paid a union in mandatory fees before the high court’s landmark case that made such fees unconstitutional.

The justices on Monday turned aside Mark Janus’s challenge to a ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit that an affiliate of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees relied on existing law in good faith when it required Janus and other nonmembers to pay fees to cover nonpolitical expenses.
