J.B. Hunt Beats Truck Drivers’ Bid to Revive Pay Plan Challenge

J.B. Hunt Transport Inc.'s compensation scheme for truck drivers survived the workers’ attempt to revive a challenge based on California wage law.

The lower court didn’t make a mistake when it sided with the transportation company on some allegations before trial, the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit said. And it didn’t abuse its discretion when ruling on evidence, formulating jury instructions, and awarding J.B. Hunt costs after the jury found for the company, the opinion said.
