It’s Safe to Report Your Boss, DOL Tells Undocumented Workers

Labor Secretary Marty Walsh and his staff are making a concerted public effort to allay immigrant workers’ fears of reprisal when cooperating with U.S. Department of Labor investigations against employers.

In a virtual event Monday, Walsh and other DOL leaders emphasized that workers are protected from labor and employment standards regardless of immigration status. They particularly focused on Hispanic workers in the context of asserting wage-hour and occupational safety rights.
