A group of information technology companies, having successfully sued to block mandated wage increases for visa holders, now want to defend a Trump rule overhauling the visa lottery for skilled foreign workers.
The online H-1B visa lottery system implemented last year is being targeted by workers who claim its rules have led to fraud by allowing employers to submit multiple registrations on behalf of one individual, increasing the odds of their selection while reducing the odds of plaintiffs with just one registration submitted on their behalf by a single employer, the lawsuit alleges.
