Investors Say Amazon Shouldn’t Interfere With Union Effort: FT

A group of Amazon investors that collectively controls more than $20b in shares called on the company to stop interfering with efforts by its workers to unionize, the Financial Times reported, citing a letter.

  • Group is led by Swedish groups Folksam and Ohman Fonder and also includes the comptrollers for both New York State and New York City, Legal and General Investment Management, BMO Global Asset Management and the Church of England Pensions Board
  • “As these workers seek to organize with [the union] for health, safety, and protection, Amazon’s investors are watching,” New York City comptroller Scott Stringer said ...
