Intel Faces Renewed Battle Over Data-Parsing Tech Patents (1)

Health Discovery Corp. filed a lawsuit alleging that Intel Corp.’s Scikit-learn software package infringes four patents related to technology used “across a broad spectrum of applications” including artificial intelligence, drug discovery, economics, and coding to find the most useful features within complex data sets.

The technologies that integrate the disputed inventions are used in developing and testing Intel processors such as the Xeon, Core, and Atom families of processors, according to the complaint filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas.
