The tech giant is also upgrading its parental bonding leave from eight to 12 weeks, and will provide workers with short-term disability coverage that can be used during maternity leave and “approximates regular pay for up to 52 weeks and will be provided at no cost,” Intel said in its Dec. 17 announcement. The company currently offers workers one week of bereavement leave.
