Church Mutual Insurance Co. doesn’t have to defend an Illinois assisted living center in a biometric privacy lawsuit, after a federal judge ruled that the insurance policies at issue don’t cover wrongful employment practices.
Prairie Village Supportive Living LLC, doing business as Eagle’s View Supportive Living LLC, was sued in Illinois state court in January 2021 by Brian Field, a former employee who sought to represent a class against the skilled nursing facility over alleged Biometric Information Privacy Act violations related to its fingerprint timekeeping system.
