Keystone RV Co. is facing a lawsuit from the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for allegedly firing and not accommodating an employee with a disability at its Wakarusa, Ind., factory, according to a news release Thursday.

In a lawsuit filed in federal district court, the EEOC alleged the RV manufacturer fired an employee with a disability after refusing to excuse his absences for medical appointments and surgery, which violates the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The agency said it is seeking back pay, compensatory and punitive damages, and other relief.

The case is EEOC v. Keystone RV Co., N.D. Ind., No. 3:22-cv-00831, complaint filed 9/28/22
