The union that represents immigration judges at the Department of Justice isn’t happy about a new requirement that they complete 700 cases every year.
The case-processing requirement for employees of the DOJ’s Executive Office for Immigration Review will be effective Oct. 1, according to a copy of the new “job element” provided by the National Association of Immigration Judges. Oct. 1 is the beginning of fiscal year 2019.
