Immigration Judge Union Decertification Appeal Likely Too Early

A union representing some 500 immigration judges faced a federal appeals court panel skeptical that its bid to overturn a Republican-controlled federal labor panel’s decertification order was ripe for judicial review.

Minutes into opening remarks Thursday from the National Association of Immigration Judges’ attorney, Judge Sri Srinivasan of the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit questioned the timing of the petition and suggested the union might have acted too hastily.
