Immigration Bills Move Forward as GOP Demands Border Security

The House Judiciary Committee approved legislation that would grant legal status to certain undocumented immigrants, clearing the path for an eventual full chamber vote on the three proposals.

The committee voted in favor of the Dream Act (H.R. 2820), the American Promise Act (H.R. 2821), and the Venezuela TPS Act (H.R. 549) late May 22.
